How do I choose and use garment linings?

How do you choose and use garment linings?

Interlinings include two types of interlinings and padding: interlinings are mainly used for garment collars, cuffs, pockets, skirt and trouser waists, hems and suit chests and generally contain a hot melt adhesive coating, often referred to as bonded interlinings. Depending on the backing, bonded linings are divided into spun and non-woven linings. Spun backings are woven or knitted fabrics, while non-woven backings are made from pressed chemical fibres. The quality of the bonded interlining is directly related to the quality of the garment. Therefore, when buying a fusible interlining, not only the appearance of the requirements, but also to examine the performance of the parameters of the interlining fabric and garment quality requirements. For example: the heat shrinkage rate of the lining should be consistent with the fabric heat shrinkage rate as far as possible; to have good sewability and cutability; to be able to bond firmly with the fabric at a lower temperature; to avoid high temperature pressing after the front of the fabric seepage glue; firmly attached and durable, anti-ageing and anti-washing. Padding includes shoulder pads and chest pads for upper garments and hip pads for lower garments, which are thick and soft and generally not coated with glue. When choosing garment lining materials, attention should be paid to the fact that the lining materials should match the performance of the garment fabric.

This includes the colour, unit weight, thickness and drape of the lining. Such as flannel and other heavy fabrics should use thick interlining, while silk fabrics and other thin fabrics with light silk lining, knitted fabrics are used with elastic knitted interlining; light-coloured fabric padding colour should not be deep; polyester fabrics should not be used with cotton type lining, etc. Lining materials should match the function of different parts of the garment. Stiff linings are used for collars and waists, while thicker linings are used for outerwear chest linings; flat-feeling linings are generally used for the waist of skirts and trousers and the cuffs of garments; stiff and elastic linings should be used for neat and straightforward shapes. The lining should be matched to the life of the garment. For garments that need to be washed, choose a wash-resistant lining and consider the stability of the lining in terms of washing and ironing dimensions; padding materials, such as shoulder pads, should be considered for their ability to retain their shape and ensure that they are not deformed over a certain period of time.

Extending the service life of the lining is one of the keys to increasing the kiln's operating rate. Reasonable choice of lining material, because each production line uses the raw fuel composition, equipment performance and cylinder condition varies greatly, management personnel according to production characteristics, the applicable range of stresses and actual damage experience in the choice of lining material varieties. Doing a good job of storage, the refractory materials used in the selection plant are kept in good quality from appearance to interior. The construction process, the preparation process, the masonry process, the drying process, the maintenance method, in addition to the implementation of the "refractory material use regulations", the masonry should do a good job of inspection, timely correction and acceptance, and to ensure that the refractory castables have sufficient maintenance period. In the management of the ingredients, control the rate, sulphur to alkali ratio and liquid phase to reduce the firing temperature, while meeting the quantity and quality requirements. Operation of thermal equipment, stable operation, good hanging kiln skin, avoiding local high temperatures. Reduce the stress on the lining material, if hanging the kiln skin, reduce the frequency of opening and closing, reduce the thermal stress, avoid the mechanical stress caused by the deformation of the barrel and raw material composition of the sulphur to alkali ratio to reduce chemical corrosion.
