Basic classification of interlinings
The broad categories are non-woven and woven, and garment interlining is generally divided into non-woven and woven.
1. Non-woven, as the name suggests, is a cloth that has not been woven and formed.
The process principle: the chemical fibre with viscose after high temperature, high pressure to form the base cloth. Then after the coating machine on the surface of the base cloth a layer of hot melt adhesive, and then after drying to form the non-woven interlining we use. How to use: Place the adhesive side of the interlining on the fabric. The adhesive side of the lining is placed on the fabric and then heated with a bonding machine or iron to melt the adhesive on the lining. The glue on the lining melts and the effect of bonding to the fabric is achieved.
Features: cheap, soft to the touch, but not washable.
2. Spinning, usually using equipment is the key rod loom and water jet loom, the polyester through the textile made of base cloth.
It is characterised by its strong tensile strength and good elasticity.
The glue used for the interlining is usually powdered glue, which is characterised by a large amount of glue and a simple production process.
The disadvantage is that it is easy to get through the glue because of the large amount of glue. It is now obsolete. Nowadays, it is a double-dot process without a powder base, which is characterised by easy control of the amount of glue applied, strong adhesive properties and resistance to washing and other special treatments. It is now used by most manufacturers.
Classification by use
1, shirt bonding lining: require washing resistance, shrinkage rate is small, stiff and elastic. The backing is made of woven fabric, with PE or PET adhesive.
2, outerwear bonded interlining: dry cleaning and washing resistance, soft hand feel, elastic. Backing fabric available woven, knitted, non-woven, with PA, PET or PVC adhesive.
3, leather bonding lining: require low pressing temperature, soft hand, poor washability. Backing fabric with woven fabrics, heavy textiles, with EVA or PA adhesive.
4, shoes and hats and decorative adhesive lining: the requirement of low pressing temperature, low price, poor washability. Backing fabric with non-woven, woven or foam, available EVA, PE or PVC glue.
